Four Seasons Party Cruise

The Florida Caribbean Students Association (FCSA Inc) along with various representatives from our member school organizations was given the opportunity to attend the fifteenth annual Four Seasons Party Cruise to Jamaica on October 31st – November 4th, 2011There were fifty six representatives in attendance on our family vacation to the island. The vast amount of services and entertainment provided onboard the ship, such as the karaoke night, live comedy shows, spa and other countless orchestrated events made this trip worthwhile. Also notable was the fact that we were entertained by the musical talents of artists such as Luciano, Allison Hinds, Wayne Wonder and many other performers. We not only enjoyed the amenities of the cruise ship and the rich culture of the beautiful island but were also able to perform an act of civic involvement by organizing a school supply drive in which we donated various necessary items to a local Jamaican primary school. Overall it was an enriching experience which further served to bond together the various members of our FCSA family that were in attendance.

FCSA Fall Leadership Retreat

The annual Florida Caribbean Students Association (FCSA Inc) Fall retreat was held in District 4 in Tampa, Fl on November 18th – November 20th, 2011. There were forty representatives in attendance, a combination of individuals from the executive boards of the member organizations across Florida. The retreat consisted of various interactive activities to encourage bonding between the different attendees along with multiple competitions that highlighted the talents of our members. To further enhance their leadership skills workshops about communication and the importance of networking were implemented within the weekend.  As part of our continuous stance on the importance of Community service we held a non perishable food drive and donations brought to the retreat were given to a local homeless shelter. This retreat is a part of FCSA’s plan to not only help individuals grow as leaders but to also gain an invaluable network of friends and colleagues that they can further learn from in the future. It is an opportunity for us to step away from our busy lives as students and concentrate on honing our business skills because we are tomorrow’s leaders.
